As many of you know, the Mormonchic Forum as been unavalable for several days now. We sincerely apologize for this inconvience. Up until yesterday there was a message that stated the forums were down for maintanence. It is with a sad heart that we here at Mormonchic must admit this is not the case.

At some time early Monday morning, some bored, not very nice 12 year old decided it would be fun to hack into the Mormonchic forum and delete everything. This person deleted all the posts, all the threads and added everyone's IP address to our IP Address log so everyone was blocked from accessing the forums.

We have been working with our website host over the last day to see if there was anyway to recover the lost data and there is not. The old forums, as they existed, are no more. We are in the process of building a new forum with some more modern security to prevent this from happening again.

Please be patient with us as we work through this. The forums will be back up again as soon as possible. Please know that you will have to re-register for them again.

Also, as a side note. Since someone did have access to our entire database, the email address you used to register with might be compromised. I don't know what information they would have considered valuable, but I'm assuming they simply did this to prove to the world that they need a life - not to steal any data.
